The Livermore High School Varsity boys cross country team finished 14th in the Division 3 State Championship race out of 24 teams. The overall average time for the seven Varsity boys was 16:42.

The Cross Country NCS Championship race took place at Hayward High School on November 19th. The boy’s team took fourth place with 148 points, averaging a time of 16:21 for three miles. The team was led by seniors Lucas Strand and Omar Maklaf, who both placed among the top 10 finishers. Strand finished in fifth place for the boy’s three mile run in Division 3 with a time of 15:26.70. Maklaf got ninth place with a time of 15:37.20.

The other members of the team were Garron Hahn (Grade 12), who finished in 87th place, Miguel Valenton (Grade 11), who finished 57th place, Greg Aufderheide (Grade 11), who finished in 22nd place, and Devon Maheshwari (Grade 10), who finished in 59th place.

The girl’s team took the 11th spot in NCS with 300 points, averaging a time of 20:16 overall. Rebecca Wheeler (Grade 10) was the first Livermore finisher in the girl’s 3 mile run with a time of 19:23. The second girl’s finisher was Madeline Tree (Grade 10) who took 46th place with a time of 19:46.

Anne Le (Grade 11) took the 78th, Cheryl Stanley (Grade 11) got 98th place, Grace Roberts (Grade 10) took 104th, and Ava Stromme (Grade 10) finished in 108th place.
