On the 21st of March, the Livermore High School’s men’s volleyball team played their cross town rival, Granada High School. LHS has surprised many people this season and had previously posted a record of 5-6, with great contributions from Outside Hitter Griffin Bateson (12), and Libero Jonathan Andrews (11). The Cowboy’s lost all three sets 25-12, 25-13, 25-14. The Cowboys put up a good fight and saw multiple kills from Outside Hitter Jacob Currie (12) and Opposite Ian Gan (12) but Granda’s potent front three proved to be too much for them in the end. The Cowboys face Granada one last time for senior night.

The Cowboys faced the 31st ranked team in California, De La Salle, on Thursday and lost all three sets once again, 25-11, 25-17, 25-16. After this loss the Cowboys fall to a record of 5-8, with a 1-4 record in EBAL. The team’s NCS hopes still remain alive, with them being 16th in current standings, according to maxpreps.com. The team hopes to bounce back on March 28th, playing at California High who is currently 1-6 for the season.
