Lydia Sarraille is a third year English teacher at Livermore High School. Before she got her dream job advising El Vaquerito, Ms. Sarraille worked as a reporter for Silicon Valley Community Newspapers in San Jose. She has also been published in The San Jose Mercury News. Ms. Sarraille got a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from San Jose State University and went on to obtain her teaching credential from California State University Stanislaus. Ms. Sarraille was born in Texas, so she considers herself a born Cowboy. She has wanted to teach Journalism ever since she entered the credential program, and so far the experience has totally lived up to the hype. When she isn’t listening to NPR and tracking breaking news on Twitter, Ms. Sarraille can be found binge-watching Doctor Who on Netflix, trying to get Comic Con passes, and gardening. She and her equally geeky husband, Tom, have an eighteen-month-old daughter named Hanna, who is a proud future Cowboy.
