In a recent press release, the Livermore Police Department warned parents to make sure their kids are biking safely after two collisions involving elementary school students on bicycles, and  cars. One of the accidents occurred near Emma C. Smith Elementary, and the other was by Rancho Las Positas Elementary School.

The release covered rules of the road for cyclists and drivers.

Vice Principal Eric Taylor said, “It’s about keeping people informed. These are ongoing issues.”

Make sure you obey all the rules of the road on your way to and from school, whether you’re on a bike or in a car.
