of the town as they go through rough times in their lives which includes high temperatures and your typical neighborhood drama.

Livermore High School is putting on a production of this story. There are a total of twelve leads in the play. I got the chance to talk to one of the leads, Elijah Maravilla (grade 9). He plays Graffiti Pete. He is seen as a vandal to Usnavi. He plays an important role throughout the musical and even saves the neighborhood a few times.

When asked how Maravilla felt about playing Pete, his response was, “I’m so excited to be playing this role because it’s the role I had originally auditioned for. Pete is a character who can’t go a minute without dancing, so I feel like this character is perfect for me.” Maravilla also does dance at Xtreme Force Dance Company.

The opening night is on May 12, and they have many other performances following on the 13th. They are also having a Mother’s Day matinee the Sunday after. The last performances are scheduled to be on the 19th and 20th of May.

Cowboys, make sure you come to support the wonderful play and get your tickets while you still can.
