On February 26th, the Livermore High School Jazz band performed for students and staff in the amphitheater during lunch. The band played five songs: “The Dork”, “West Coast Blues”, “Brother Mister”, “Big Red”, and “Sticks and Stones”.
When asked about the performance, Justin Beasley (grade 11) stated, “It’s amazing! They’re really cool, really good.“ Rachel Watts (grade 10), also enjoyed the performance, saying, “I like how for the solo performances, they came out in front so we could actually see who they were.”
Emily Jones (grade 10), who was a pianist in the performance, stated, “It was really fun!” When asked if it was hard to perform in front of the school, she answered, “Not as nerve racking as it used to be because we practice so much and it was in front of all our friends.”
Once again a round of applause for the LHS jazz band, who did an incredible job performing and had lots of fun doing it.
