Dougherty bullies Cowboys at White Noise Game

The Livermore High Basketball team hosted Dougherty High for the first White Noise Game on Jan. 28. The game was to raise awareness about cyberbullying and attendees were instructed to be silent until the Cowboys’ tenth point was scored. After the Cowboys scored ten points the crowd went crazy!

However this fervor was short lived as a rough second quarter for the Cowboys left down by 20. The Cowboys did not fare much better in the second half and ended up falling to the Wildcats 71-38.

Justin Allen (grade 12) lead the team in scoring with 10 points. The Cowboys shot 24% from the field and only 10% from 3 point range. Star player Cameron Johnston (grade 12) got into foul trouble early, which caused him to only play minimal minutes. What really killed the Cowboys was their 23 turnovers, while only getting 5 steals.

The Cowboys next and final home game is against cross-town rival Granada on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14. Make sure you come out and show your support.
